ELIZABETH MILLER

Liz Miller is a professor at Concordia University in Montreal and an award winning documentary maker whose media projects offer critical perspectives on environmental justice, social movements and media. Her documentary projects on timely issues such as water privatization, climate change and immigration (The Water Front, Handson, Mapping Memories) have won numerous awards, been used in educational curricula internationally and have influenced decision makers. In addition to offering courses in Documentary Media and Media and the Environment, she provides training to first nation youth, human rights and women’s organizations in media production, digital storytelling, and media advocacy. Her newest project, The Shore Line, is an interactive documentary looking at the tensions between unchecked development and climate change on coastal towns and cities around the world. http://theshorelineproject.org/
