Michael is the Director of the Matatu Festival of Stories in Oakland, CA. He has been a purveyor of good culture and public/private space in developing communities for nearly 20 years. He plays key roles in cultural and real estate development and works to create equitable models in partnership with institutions like the City of Oakland, Intersection for the Arts and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
