Gillian Rose

Gillian Rose is a Senior Vice President at NBC Universal, based in New York City. She works in TV and film distribution negotiating with all the major platforms (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc.) in the US. Prior to this she held a similar position for Sky, the leading media and entertainment company in Europe. Gillian also worked at PBS flagship station WNET in roles that included Executive in Charge for syndicated programming (Travel, Cooking, Music) and Head of Distribution. Her last role at PBS was Managing Director of PBS Distribution. Gillian is also the founder of the nonprofit organization, The Rosemary Pencil Foundation. The organization has enabled hundreds of teenagers in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia to attend secondary school and continue their education. Gillian is also on the international board of South Africa-based Radio Workshop and with the help of major funders like UNICEF, Eleventh Hour, Bloomberg, Gates and more, trains young people in radio and podcasting across Sub-Saharan Africa. Gillian is the former Chair of the New York chapter of BAFTA.
