Anselm Hook is an Augmented Reality developer at Samsung Accelerator.  Working with a small team of artists, programmers and Computer Vision experts, he prototypes new hardware as a foundation for building new software experiences. His focus is building a design grammar for UX in AR. In the grand scheme of things, Anselm is passionate about helping people “see” better. He us keenly interested in digital simulations, augmented reality, social cartography, real time brokerages and markets — basically any tools that help people “signal” to each other across complex landscapes. Anselm was a mentor at the MacArthur Foundation-funded Producers Institute for New Media Technologies and at Sundance New Frontiers Story Lab. He is currently developing a new A/R app for the Oakland Fence Project, supported in part by the Tribeca New Media Fund.
