Description:
In a world where social media has broken the physical boundaries of communication, allowing virtually anyone the ability to engage with the world, many people are becoming aware of issues at younger and younger ages. In an effort to examine the effect of this phenomenon on my peers, namely members of Generation Z, I decided to create Z: the chapbook.

Bio:
Melina Kritikopoulos (California)
Melina Kritikopoulos is an 18-year-old aspiring writer and poet. She is the co-editor-in-chief and a staff writer for her school’s newspaper, where she has a book column and edits and produces the paper’s podcast. In her spare time, she enjoys writing short stories and poems, and she has been writing a novel since the summer of 2019 and a series of shorts since March of 2020. Her greatest writing inspirations are J.D. Salinger, James Baldwin, Pseudonymous Bosch, and Maya Angelou. In all her work, she hopes to inspire others and uplift the voices of the communities she is part of.
