Kapi’olani (Pio) Lee

Kapi’olani (Pio) Lee is a visual artist and arts educator based in Oregon. Dedicated to social justice and cultural equity, she has helped create and support youth-centered curriculum and arts programming that values inclusion, accessibility, ownership, and intergenerational collaboration. As a practicing artist working with contemporary Pacific Islander-centered narratives and themes, Kapi’olani has screened several films at the SF Asian Art Museum, AlterSpace Gallery, Oakland Museum of California, and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, and has been a guest lecturer on Pacific Islander mediamaking at numerous colleges including University of Washington and City College of San Francisco.
