Christina Orticke

Christina Orticke is Senior Consultant and Director of Operations for Arts2Work, a creative workforce development initiative of The Alliance that includes a new national program of federally-registered apprenticeships in media arts and creative technologies. Christina has over 25 years of experience working with large international public and private corporations, start-ups, minority-owned/women-owned enterprises, and nonprofit organizations. She devoted the majority of her career in finance working with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on behalf of various enterprises, including Fannie Mae and The AES Corporation, as well as leading operations in procedural documentation, regulatory compliance and quality assurance for tech companies in the Bay Area. Christina is now dedicating her time and resources to develop mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships and programs with socially responsible, community-based organizations. With a strong belief in the power of altruism, and any effort that elevates and emboldens the human spirit, her fundamental focus is on leading initiatives for undeserved and underrepresented communities in the arts, academia, and commerce. Christina is an art collector and steadfast contributor and financial supporter of local arts institutions; an advocate for women’s health research funding (she provided personal testimony on behalf of women of color to the Maryland Senate Finance Committee); and was a volunteer to rebuild the historic Tremé neighborhood in New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Christina is passionate about and committed to activating programs to grow and bolster our nation’s creative economy, to amplify social activism, and to secure prolific pathways of opportunity for all people.
