Aimee Espiritu

Aimee Espiritu, M. Ed launched Espiritu Consulting in October 2017 based on her 10 years of experience providing Management in the Arts as well as Strategic Planning and Partnerships, for non-profit organizations and school districts. Prior to this, Aimee was an Arts Educator and Administrator for 14 years with a primary focus of engaging young people in classrooms, museums and arts programs through creative youth development, curriculum design, exhibit development, and peer-to-peer training. Born and raised in Seattle, Aimee earned a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Washington. She is also a credentialed Secondary teacher with a Masters in Urban Education from Holy Names University. Her calling is to utilize and combine the creative methodologies she gained from her design training with her drive to use the arts as a tool for societal impact. It is the field of arts education in analog (museums, non-profit organizations, school districts, and maker spaces) and digital realms that make it possible for Aimee to authentically practice both passions. Aimee’s passion is grounded in transformative hands-on arts education with a nuanced understanding of the Bay Area youth development landscape. As an educator and visual/performing artist, Aimee’s need to see and create relevant arts education for youth is both professional and deeply personal.
