Hours: This position is based on 40 hours of work per month @ $3000 per month

Location: Consultant must be based in Los Angeles County; we are doing significant work this year with partners in Watts and the surrounding areas, and we are particularly interested in speaking with local candidates.


Job Summary
The Community and Industry Engagement Program Producer for California will collaborate with Alliance ED Wendy Levy and a team of consulting producers to insure the growth and success of the Arts2Work initiative (https://arts2work.media). The person leading Arts2Work Community and Industry Engagement in California plays a crucial role identifying strategic partners and securing entry-level creative career opportunities and Apprenticeships for emerging and under-represented media producers, editors, multimedia graphic designers and digital archivists. This consulting position requires a dynamic, organized and results-driven individual. Experience in business relationship cultivation, creative youth and workforce development, digital media and technology, community outreach, values-driven program development and media career training with a DEIAB lens – all are helpful and relevant for this consulting position. Some level of experience in the media industry in a creative, production or administrative support position is highly valued.  Collaboration is the key to our work; consulting producers for the Alliance support and guide the program and each other.


The Arts2Work Community and Industry Engagement Producer will:

+ Cultivate strategic partnerships on behalf of the Alliance with industry, small business, independent producers and nonprofit organizations leading to valuable career opportunities and programs for diverse Arts2Work program participants.


+ Lead Arts2Work information sessions and orientations for potential partners

+ Offer career development workshops for trainees and digital media job seekers

+ Organize and/or participate in community events, workshops, panels and forums to promote awareness and participation in Arts2Work.


+ Maintain accurate records of community and business interactions via Salesforce (we’ll train on the platform)

+ Meet regularly and collaborate with Executive Director and consulting team to deepen program impact

+ Submit monthly reports and invoices
