Jewish Story Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that stimulates and supports the highest caliber independent films that use fresh, nuanced perspectives to tell stories about the diverse spectrum of Jewish experiences, cultures, and encounters.

Launched in 2021, Jewish Story Partners is a start-up organization providing approximately $1 million in annual philanthropic funding and a continuum of support to excellent film projects exploring Jewish themes.

The Grants/Program Manager manages program operations and administers systems to facilitate Jewish Story Partners’ biannual grant-making and year-round artist support activities.

Essential duties and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
● Administer biannual film granting processes by managing project tracking and outreach,
incoming applications, and selections/jury process.
● Manage grant award and contract process by administering award notification letters,
project deliverables, crediting requirements, grant agreements, and working with
bookkeeper to disburse grant payments.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing grantee reporting and deliverables,
including monitoring and recording progress.
● Administer continuum of support activities for grantees, including project check-ins,
staff consultations, advisor matching, workshops, and panels.
● Manage outward-facing granting and program communications, including
filmmaker/industry outreach, website updates, social media, and newsletters.
Collaborate with the team on publicity and marketing initiatives.
● Ensure the quality and efficiency of granting and artist programs through consistent
evaluation and redesign of database, software, and reporting processes and systems.
● Working with metrics consultant, develop, co-design, and implement data collection
strategy and reports to assess the impact of JSP’s granting and artist programs.
● Supervise administrative assistant on daily program operations tasks as they arise.
● Review, evaluate, and provide recommendations on project applications and other
submissions for grant funding.

Qualifications and skills shall include, but are not limited to:
● 3-5 years work experience demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy in
recording, tracking, and issuing information, as well as superior organizational and
project management skills.
● Strong written and verbal communication, clear thinking, and sophisticated systems
and habits for self-organization are critical.
● Ease and skill with Google Suite, spreadsheets, databases, computers, and social
media. Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Squarespace, SurveyMonkey,
Mailchimp, and Airtable is ideal.
● Programmatic, curatorial, or artist support experience, ideally in the documentary or
independent film field. Minimally a strong interest in and/or education in film and media.
● We seek a collaborative, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial spirit who is willing to learn
and embrace the new tasks that inevitably arise with a small staff in a start-up
environment. A sense of humor can’t hurt either!
