BronxNet seeks an experienced New Media Manager to help grow its web presence. This position demands a person with a deep knowledge of social media platforms who can creatively brainstorm challenges cross-departmentally in order implement best solutions. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple requests is a must. Experience working in a fast-paced team environment is very important.

This role will work cross-departmentally to produce internet and television content for use across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr and other emerging platforms.


• Write, edit, and curate content for BronxNet social media platforms on-line and on television

• Ensure that all platforms have a consistent message

• Approve posts for all platforms before they go live and create an internal approval system

• Tailor content to needs of the specific platform (Twitter, Facebook, website, etc.)

• Ensure social media content supports daily shows, organizational programs and other community events

• Report metrics of social media efforts

• Effectively communicate cross departmentally with marketing, programming, creative services and graphic design to build and meet timelines

• Actively investigate ways to improve engagement on all social media platforms, including emerging social media outlets

• Create style guide for BronxNet social media engagement

• Seek new social media tools to use on broadcast TV to ensure that BronxNet remains a community engagement leader


• Two to three years experience managing an organization’s social media presence with a demonstrated ability to grow audiences and increase engagement

• Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related field

• Advanced knowledge of social media tools

• Knowledge of video and codecs a plus

• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple requests

• Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)

• Knowledge of The Bronx a plus
